Online Infancy Text - Here is a complete - well, actually complete - book on infancy on the web. The book is strongly oriented toward parenting, and not well annotated, but you might find some of it of interest.
Brain Development 101 - This is billed as a Kid's site, but it has some very nice, basic descriptions of brain development and good graphics. Also, there are a lot of links there to other sites concerned with development of the nervous system, most of which occurs during infancy. Try out the "brain quiz."
Brain Development 201 - A magazine site, Nation and Observer, has an interesting if not meaty article on brain development during infancy, and a lot of interesting links as well.
Brain Development 202 - Want just a quick outline? The LA times site includes a series of great pix plus short, challenging statements about the brain as it develops. Example: "The adult brain weighs 3 pounds, but has only half the number of neurons found in a two-year-old's brain."
Brain Development 301 - This is a very brief article, but written at the college level. Describes the importance of brain's electrical signals to development. Very well done, though short.
Baby talk - Another magazine article, this one from the US News magazine site - it may not stay around so look now or it could be gone.
National Network for Child Care - This is a very nice site which presents a database of short essays or articles, most of which are at a level appropriate for parents or basic undergrad level. They summarize data on infant abilities, physical and psychological, at various stages in the first 2 years, and have other databases relevant to other ages For some articles (longer ones, apparently) you need to download them and have an Acrobat reader to convert them, but most can be seen directly without any download.. Check this one out! A boon for baby trivia buffs!
Maternal Care Research Database - Here's a site that offers extensive data relating to a longitudinal study of two types of infant childcare on the web. You can access the data, pick out parts to analyze yourself, or just examine the parts the investigation.
LaMaze Baby Toy Store - This is a commercial site, but does have some interesting and unusual toys developed with infant development in mind (as well as getting your bucks, of course.)
Baby Center - Another commercial site, but one designed to attract parents. This one has a lot of little parenting tidbits (e.g., diapering for Dads, baby massage 101) and basic advice. The commercial aspects are kept minimal.

Summary of development - ages 2 to 6 - a very nice site that provides a thumbnail sketch of developmental milestones of various sorts (e.g., physical, cognitive, etc.) for children during the toddler to preschool period.
