Tribology Laboratory

The tribology laboratory conducts experimental research to study the origins of friction and wear of solid materials, the implications of wear and friction on dynamic mechanisms, and life prediction theories for bearing components.  The laboratory also develops custom tribological test apparatuses -Friction and Wear Testers for new and immerging areas of tribology research.
