: Has anybody found out what CM4108E(UL)-11 stands for? I'm thinking it is a Underwriters Laboratories standard. Also there is a symbol (triangle backward R connected to a U) printed on the board that I have not been able to find via Google.

the RU is the symbol of UL's recognized components which are "components which have been evaluated by UL and found to be in compliance with UL’s requirements" (http://database.ul.com/grcinterfro_00-1-frnt.pdf)

As for the number, it might be the file number of the part, but searching the online certification directory doesn't show this coffee maker. The first two letters (cm) may stand for coffee maker, but that's just a guess.
