Vox and RUB (Reitz Union Board) are proud to present this year's Film Festival. The following movies will be playing on four separate nights in the Reitz Union Cinema, which is located on the 2nd floor of the Reitz Union. Come by, get some free popcorn, and watch a great movie!

Monday: 6:30pm
It’s My Life – Zackie Achmat, the HIV positive acting chairperson of the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), has decided not to take anti-retroviral medicines until they are made available by the government in public hospitals and clinics. It’s My Life interweaves personal and public images to provide an intimate look at an internationally profiled defiance campaign and the complexities of its leading figure.

Tuesday: 6:00pm
Longtime Companion – Perhaps the first film to put a human face on the AIDS epidemic. Following a small circle of friends from the first mention of the disease in the New York Times in 1981.

Wednesday: 6:00pm
A Closer Walk – is one of the first films to depict humankind’s confrontation with the global AIDS epidemic. Subjects and story lines encompass the broad spectrum of the global AIDS experience and include people with HIV/AIDS from all walks of life.

Thursday: 6:00pm
Common Threads – A documentary film what tells the story of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt. Focuses on several people who are represented with panel in the quilt, providing faces to the names.
