Back Home A.C.Moore coached the team from 1953 to 1990 to undefeated seasons in: 1953;1956;1957;1959 & 1961 and his overall record was: 503 Won 220 Lost & 109 Tied "AC" founded the "Agin-Gators Scccer Society in 1983 as the Alumni organization of the Club and served as its Director until April 2005 when he cited "burnout"and lack of confidence in his computer skills and Jason Coker 2002 took the helm of "AGSS". as President;Jeremy McBryan 1998 as Vice-Pres & Chris Lipp 2002 as Treasurer. Every Spring members of the "Agin-Gators Soccer Society" {AGSS} and their families return to Gainesville from many states & sometimes countries to share memories,play the present UF Club and interact with the current club members in a grand weekend!
The
annual UF Club-Agin' Gators soccer match is quite intense and every year the
teams are playing at the same level (with the help of some one-sided referees
and friends of coach moore). The weekend is a great chance for current club
officers and members to learn about the past experiences of UF Soccer Club Alumni
"Agin gators" (aggs).
