APRIL 20th-21st, 2007 ALUMNI WEEKEND

Here is a letter from the president of the Agin Gator Soccer Society recapping the weekend:

Fellow Agin Gator Soccer Society Members,

It's time to close the book on another succesful edition of the AGSS Alumni Weekend. This year, 28 alums were able to make it back to Gainesville, travelling from 8 different states to get there. The spirited game against the current club team ended in a hard-fought 4-4 draw in which the AGSS converted a last minute penalty kick to salvage our pride for one more year.

For those of your who were able to make it, I'd like to thank you for joining us and for your generous donations to the UF Men's Soccer Club. While some of the checks are still tricking in, it looks as if the total for this year's donations is going to end up at just over $3,000- a new record!! These funds will help support the club's budget and go towards off-setting their travel, equipment and coaching expenses, while enabling them to carry on the traditions that we all took part in during our days at UF.

If you were unable to make it this year, please keep in touch and consider making the trip in April 2009.
