Wednesday, January 21- Volunteer Fair- We need volunteers to help organize and promote our club at the fair. If you would like more details, or would like to help, please email one of the officers!

Friday, January 23, 12:30pm- EE outreach to Trinity Middle School- our EE coordinator has arranged an ducational outreach of building nest boxes with a class at Trinity Middle School. We need your help to make this a success. We will be helping the students build the nest boxes, and educating them about the birds that may use it. If you would like to help, please tell Jen Teagarden (email on the Officers page).

Friday, January 23, evening- TWS Barbeque!!- This is our start-of-the-year party. Please come, meet your officers and fellow club members, and enjoy burgers, hot dogs, and the company!!

Monday, January 26, 5:15 pm- TWS Meeting- Our guest speaker this week will be Dr. Katie Sieving. She will discuss resumes and grad school. Even if you are not graduating this semester, this would still be awesome to come to, because she can give you pointers on what professors look for in choosing grad students. This is aslo the deadline to register for Conclave (see below).

Saturday, January 31, morning- Air Potato Round-up- This is a conservation event put on by Gainesville. We gather in teams and try to pick up as many air potatoes as possible. Air potatoes are a dangerous invasive species, so by participating, you are helping to solve this problem. Please email an officer for more details.

Saturday, February 7- FL Museum of Natural History Everglades Exhibit opens- we need volunteers to run a table. We will be promoting our club, as well as educating guests about the Everglades and its inhabitants. This is a great educational outreach opportunity, so if you are interested, please email out EE coordinator Michelle Bakowski, or Jen Teagarden (emails are on the officers page).

Monday, February 23, 5:15 pm- TWS Meeting- We will be going over final details for Beast Feast.

Saturday, February 28, evening- BEAST FEAST- This is the huge annual dinner and fundraiser we put on. Please, start telling people about it NOW, so they can plan ahead and buy tickets. Tickets will be on sale in February.

Monday, March 8- Sunday March 15- Spring Break!!- Everyone have fun, and stay safe!!

Monday, March 16, 5:15 pm- TWS Meeting- we will be electing our officers for next year. Good luck, everyone!!

Thursday, March 26- Sunday, March 29- Conclave- This is a nation-wdie, wildlife conference and contest, and our club represents the University of Florida!! There will be a quiz bowl, archery competitions, identification challenges, GIS and Radio telemetry contests, and many others, too. It's always a blast, and we would love for you to join us. Regestration deadline is January 26, and it will be $50 (this includes transportation, meals, housing, everything).
