Krans, J. V., J. B. Beard, and J. F. Wilkinson. 1979. Classification of C₃ and C₄ turfgrass species based

on CO₂ compensation concentration and leaf anatomy. HortScience 14:183-185.

Write a 100-150 word summary and critique of the scientific paper, including essential points such as:

1. Purpose and importance. What was the study done? What was the objective.

2. Methods. Briefly, what was done? Would it be repeatable?

3. Results. What was learned? Are the hypotheses disprovable?

4. Critique. Do you agree with the results and interpretations? How confident are you of the quality and soundness of the work? If you would repeat the study, how would you do it over?
