  1. To know the history of Integrated Pest Management in agriculture, before and after the development of synthetic pesticides, involving diseases, insects and mites, nematodes, and weeds
  2. To understand the core concepts and strategies of IPM including population dynamics, biological control, genetic resistance, environmental modification, economic thresholds, monitoring, and identification
  3. To become familiar with cases of turf and ornamental IPM.
