Students should memorize a select group of organisms that
are common in turf environments, with emphasis on warm climates. You
will not be required to memorize the scientific names for this class (but
for the Turfgras Culture class, you will). Nevertheless, you must know the
general characteristics of the various organisms, as discussed in class,
e.g., whether they are beneficial or detrimental, something about their
life cycle and role in the turf environment.
