Hello Everyone!!

Well we started the meeting at exactly
8:01 and 32 1/2 seconds.

Race reports:  I (Nika) went to a swim meet in Georgia and swam the 50 and 100 freestyle.  It was fun!  Erik raced in the Disney Olympic distance race on September 25th and won a giant Mickey Mouse trophy!  Kevin ran in a 5K and apparently “ran real slow.”

Those of you who are doing the race on Oct. 9th, be sure to print out the
receipt when you enter the race. Also, bring your USA Triathlon card to the race.  If you don’t have one, you can buy a $9 one-day pass at the race.   If you need a
ride to the race, make sure to talk to one of the drivers about it. The drivers are Kevin Collington, Christian Thomas, Erik Swedberg, Nika Merta, and Katy Fraga.

Our second race of the semester is the Great Floridian Super Sprint on Oct 22!  You can start signing up for it today!! However please sign up before Oct 5th or 6th.  We also need people to help pass out water at the aid station, and to cheer Erik on during his race!  We will be running an aid station at about mile 5 of the Great Floridian half ironman course.  We will get to see the full ironman atheletes a lot, too, because our aid station is at about mile 5, 12, and 19 of the full ironman course.

We will be ordering team uniforms soon.  Watch the list-serve for the order form.  The deadline is October 21!

Oh and there will be a Swim, Run, Swim, Run this Sunday at
9 am at the
outside pool at the O- Dome.  It's with Masters swimming, but Trigators are
invited to join!  It's a total of 2000m swim and 2 mile run.  Ya' ll should
go, it'll be fun!

Plus on Sunday there's an Adventure Race (although look at the email Kevin
sent you for more info), and a Nika Ride.  That ride starts at
7:30 am in
Turlington by the potato rock.

So that is all!   Let us not forget useless knowledge!!

Useless Knowledge Fact #2:  The 'A' and 'W' in A&W Root Beer stands for
Allen and Wright. (in case anyone cared to know!)

Have a good weekend and GOOOOOO GATORS!!!
