Hey
TriGators!
We had our
pre-race meeting tonight. If you could not make it, no
worries, you
just have to go through this e-mail and make sure
everything
is clear.
The Longleaf
triathlon is going to be under a time trial format,
meaning that
you are all going to start at different time, and,
thus, avoid
the joy of the washing-machine swim start (Craig's
words
:)...). So first timers, it will be better.
You will be
able to pick up your race packets from 10 a.m. up to 1
p.m. and
after 2 p.m. up to 5 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, you'll
be able to
do so starting at 6:30 a.m.
The race
will start at 8 a.m. More info on the Web site:
http://www.longleaftriathlon.com
Saturday
will be spent at the Riverside Inn hotel at New Port
Richey:

Alex Lechner
will check in and out. So call her at this number:
(727)
244-8377, when you want to head over the hotel call her.
Also,
another e-mail will be sent soon concerning the hotel rooms
you will be
assigned to. Some other people will be hosted by Rich.
We will let
you know who stays where in that same e-mail.
Car pool
will be sent to you too in another e-mail. Please
remember to
share the gas costs as well as the toll ones. Thank
you very
much for your understanding.
New
TriGators (and older ones too who forget their shoes or
swimsuit or
helmet :p) have a look at Kelly's Check-up list to
make sure
you have all the necessary racing materials. See the
enclosed
document!
During this
meeting, we also mentioned the upcoming Intramural
Track Meet: http://www.recsports.ufl.edu/track_meet1.aspx
It's going
to take place on Nov. 7. We need somebody to volunteer
to be the
team captain though. Registrations should also be done
by Nov. 4.
So please hurry up and get back to us, if you are
interested
in the captain position and in racing it.
Finally,
least but not last, we will need some people who would
like to
volunteer some of their time to be part of the TriGator
Super Sprint
Committee. The race will take place in March but we
obviously
need to get ready for it. This is our main fundraiser of
the year and
it is really important that this event keeps on being
successful.
If you want to help us with that, please let me know
ASAP. It's
definitely a very rewarding way to get involved for the
team :).
Any
questions... please e-mail me :)
Thank you
all for your time! Hope you are all going to have a
blast this
weekend!! GO TRIGATORS!!! Go kick butts! Hehe!! And
most
important of all... Have Fun and Enjoy!
Take care,
Jen
