Hey TriGators!

We had a meeting last night. Your mission is to read this e-mail before its destruction.

We talked about the Track Meet of Nov. 5th, 2007. WE STILL NEED CAPTAINS for those who want to race on that date. We need an answer by Nov. 3rd, if you guys want to race. Otherwise, there will be no TriGators represented??? and I am sure nobody wants that. It is not time-consuming at all. The captains just have to attend a meeting and that???s it. To have people get involved, no officer will be in charge of that. As an active group, we would like to have everybody feel part of the team and as such, be able to embrace some team leadership.

The Super Sprint Committee was also mentioned. We are still looking for people who would like to get involved in the creation of OUR race in March 2008. So far, we have Coral, David, Marco and the officers, as members of the committee. But we still need some more volunteers. It will not take too much of your time... just some small meetings every other day so as to have the main parts of the race organized by the beginning of Winter Break. Also, if you want to race the TriGators??? Super Sprint and are part of the committee, it may be possible. We will try to make it possible for you as a reward for your yearly involvement and contribution.

But the main topic of this meeting was the uniforms??? order. You are strongly encouraged to order your uniform and submit your order ASAP to Alex Lechner, Craig Dixon or myself. Make sure that it is readable and that you enclose the right amount to your order. Make checks payable to UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, with TRIGATORS in the memo. Cash is also accepted.
The uniforms will be from the same company as last year ??? Squadra. The colors will be the same for the guys, and the woman???s top will be orange instead of blue, to have a better uniformity and be easily recognizable. Both male and female tops will have a pocket. Female???s top will include a built-in bra.
The other modification for the girls concerns the swimsuit. Considering the poor fabrics used for the swimsuit, we will NOT take order for it, as for now. This problem does not concern the two-piece swimsuit (bra + brief), which is made of different fabrics.
ALL ORDERS WILL HAVE TO BE MADE BY NOV. 30th, 2007. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT UNIFORM ODERS AFTER THAT DATE. The reason for that is that it takes a long time to have everything ready (printing and stuff) and we would like to get the uniforms before our first races in spring. As for now, the estimated date of delivery is February 2008.

Next meeting, we will have a guest speaker, Jeff Plasschaert, from the Shands Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute (located on 34th St. by the Hilton). He will give a speech about the lactate threshold and give more details about the other programs we can benefit from through our partnership.
