If you missed the meeting, Doug at the bike route (bikeroute.net) came out and said a few words. Located north on 13th street, trigator members receive 25% of everything. To receive this discount, an updated waiver must have be turned in. Bikes are sold on location, repairs are done in store and drop-offs are welcome, just make sure you bring your bike in well before a race.

The Sports Performance Center offers us rates on lactate threshold and VO2 max testing. Contact Jeff Parr (parrj@ufl.edu) for more information.

Waivers!! They are due if you are racing sand key – make sure you bring them to swim practice tomorrow. If you haven’t taken the swim test as of today, you can take it right before practice on Friday. All new AND returning trigators must fill them out.

Practices – They are up on the website trigator.com
In Regards to San Felasco, if you need a ride, let an officer know at swim practice or send out an email. Run starts between 8-8:30. Directions and map can be found on the website.

TRANSITION TRAINING - 14th sunday afternoon. It will be located right across from the Bauman center on campus. It will be led by the knowledgeable favorites Kelly and Bernd. If you are racing sand key for the first time, it is a good idea to come check it out.

Upcoming races:
Sand Key – September 21st
Health First – October 5th
Longleaf Sprint – October 19th

Sand Key – Clearwater – Only 2 weeks away, make sure you sign up for this as soon as possible. This is a sprint race (1/3 mile swim, 11 mile bike, 5k run). Great beginner course. Registration can be found on the race website trithisink.com – a link will take you to active). Make sure to print out your receipt that includes a credit card number! (without that number, we can’t reimburse you) Receipts are due at our next meeting – Thursday, September 18th. IF YOU ARE RACING YOU MUST TURN IN A WAIVER!! Lodging and carpooling will be arranged at our next meeting.

T-shirts and Hats will be ordered soon. 36 is our minimum order for hats – if we have enough interest we will be getting them – so let us know if you want one so we can get a count and reserve one for you.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 13TH – Kids Triathlon - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - It’s a great opportunity to meet fellow members and get our name out in the community. If you are available please let us know. We can coordinate rides if you need one.

We will carpool and bike over there.

Biking 101:
What do I need to have if I am on a ride? Helmet/Tube/ Tire wrenches/ frame pump or CO2 cartridge and adapter/ water. It is also a good idea to take a cell phone- especially if you are by yourself! We’ll have a beginners ride soon, so everybody can learn etiquette and the basics.

Train safe and don’t forget about class ;)
