The Journal is now accepting submissions for our upcomming issues.
Submitting Works to the Journal:
The Journal of Technology Law & Policy actively seeks original, unpublished submissions discussing a broad range of scholarly matters relating either to technology or intellectual property law. While the Journal traditionally seeks to publish works by law professors and practicing attorneys, the Journal does accept and will publish timely notes written by law school students.
General Requirements for Submissions:
The Journal strongly prefers submissions composed in Corel Wordperfect, but can also accept submissions composed in Microsoft Word. Authors who submit works in PDF format will be expected to provide a Wordperfect or Word document if they are selected for publication.
Each submission should include a cover letter with the author's contact information, a short summary or abstract of the work, and a curriculum vitae or resume.
The Journal only accepts works whose main focus is an intellectual property or high technology(computer, Internet, biotech, science, or trade secret) legal topic. The Journal also accepts articles on international intellectual property topics if they are comparative in nature. We do not accept articles on communications regulation.
The Journal requires footnotes in submissions to conform to standards in the 18th Edition of the Bluebook.
Student Submissions:
The Journal accepts student notes from both UF and non-UF students. We do not accept Essays, Book Reviews or Case Comments from non-UF students. The Journal does not have a specific format requirement for student notes; notes are expected to conform to the same subject-matter and bluebook standards listed above. The Journal prefers notes that do not exceed 15,000 words (including footnotes). Due to the volume of student notes recieved, selection is very competitive.
Notes from non-UF students are accepted beginning January 1st (for our December issue) or August 1st (for our June issue) until the issue is filled.
UF students should contact the Articles Editor regarding when to submit student notes.
Submissions may be made by any one of the following methods:
Submissions Through E-Mail
The Journal strongly encourages submissions through electronic correspondence. Please e-mail Fall 2007 Articles Editor Rebecca Ellis (jtlp.ae@gmail.com) for more information or to submit a work.
Submissions Online
The Journal accepts submissions through Berkeley Electronic Press's Expresso system.
Submissions Through Mail
Submissions through regular mail should include a 3.5" IBM formatted disk (or CD) containing a copy of the work. All submissions should be addressed as follows:

Review of Submissions:
Please allow 3-4 weeks for a response when classes are in session
(mid August-May 1st) and 4-6 weeks during the summer for a response.
Expedited Review:
To be considered for expedited review, the Journal must be given a deadline for its decision that is a minimum of one week after you ask for expedited reveiw. In periods when we experience a high volume of expedites, we may ask for an assurance that the Journal's offer will be accepted by the author if an offer is given by the deadline.
