Jaycees Haunted House
- More infromation about TBP's involvement with this event in the future will be forthcoming. Please check back soon. Below is some general information from William's Email.
The Gainesville Jaycees annual haunted house is an event that TBP has been involved in for a while. It's a good way to knock out some hours, and it's a lot of fun. This year's theme is "The Retelling of Fairy Tales".
There will be a "work party" to finish construction on Wed. Oct 14th from 5:30-7:30pm, with the possibility of more work parties next week. The house itself will be open Oct 22 from 7:30-9:30pm (for rehearsal and sponsors), Oct. 23, 24, 29, & 30 from 7:30-12pm, 7:30-1am on Halloween. Volunteers should arrive 1-2 hours early for preparation, costumes, makeup, etc. Food is usually provided, and they usually provide something different every night. Bring costumes if you have them. There are both quiet and loud roles, as well as indoor and outdoor positions.
Location: The event is held in the old Jaycees clubhouse past the ticket booth at the Alachua Country Fairgrounds on 39th Ave. ( http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=&daddr=29.683454,-82.278865&hl=en&geocode=&mra=ls&sll=29.68302,-82.280002&sspn=0.003528,0.005322&g=29.683454,-82.278865&ie=UTF8&ll=29.682004,-82.280077&spn=0.007056,0.010643&t=h&z=17 ) If you arrive when the Alachua County Fair is open, tell the parking attendant(s) that you are with the Jaycees and they will let you go through.
