About Beaty Tower East

Per the Department of Housing's description, Beaty Towers is one named for Robert Calder Beaty and is an architectural anomaly on campus. Beaty East Tower is thirteen stories tall, as opposed to the 14 story Beaty West Tower. Beaty East has all of its rooms entirely refurbished, with elevators only a couple of years older than Beaty West's. Though slightly slower, they are generally deemed more accurate.

Beaty East is located immediately west of the housing office, which is southwest of the corner of Museum Road and 13th Avenue, or northwest of Diamond Road and 13th Avenue. Residents enjoy the Beaty Commons, or the Beaty Area Desk, which offers the use of game room equipment such as billiards tables, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, and televisions (with an area government card). The commons also houses a study room a.k.a. the "Beaty Library," resident mailboxes, package notification boxes, additional restrooms, snack and drink machines, and Beaty Market. Beaty Market is part of the on-campus department Gator Dining Services, and is much like a convenience store for students.
