History The Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) was founded in 1972 as the student affiliate of the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA). The first meeting, with approximately one-hundred attendees, was held on the campus of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. SNPhA is an education and service association of students concerned about pharmacy services, professional development, and the lack of minority representation in pharmacy and other health-related professions.

The purpose of SNPhA is to plan, organize, coordinate & execute programs geared toward the improvement for the health, educational, & social environment of the community.

The University of Florida chapter has proved to be one of the strongest in the region. Through the dedication & commitment of its members, the University of Florida SNPhA organization has risen to excellence, earning the prestigious Student Organization of the Year Award in 2004, given by the Office of Student Activities at the University of Florida. Their achievements were made possible by dedicated individuals who firmly believed in the objectives & ideals of this organization.
