and Smell Research Laboratories
The Hearing
and Smell Research Laboratories are part of the Behavioral
Neuroscience Area in the Department
of Psychology at the University of Florida.
David W. Smith,
PhD. is the Director.
The Hearing Research Laboratories
are located in rooms 079 and 439 of the Psychology Building. The laboratories support work on
several different auditory research programs. See our research interests for more information.
The Smell Research Laboratory
is located on the 4th Floor of the Psychology Building. It is dedicated to a better
understanding of olfactory receptor neuron transduction. See the research interests section for details.
* The 3-D image of a cat cochlea with a scala tympani electrode array was
made in collaboration with the Duke University Center for in vivo Microscopy.
