Last workshop THIS Wednesday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. in Weimer 1064 (Gannett
Auditorium). PRSSA is excited to welcome two guest speakers from Burson-Marsteller.
Dena Linker is the U.S. Recruitment Manager for the firm's Chicago office
and supports all of the U.S. offices on a recruitment level as well as assists
with diversity initiatives, retention programs, and employee relations.
Maya Kalkay is the Director of Human Resources for the firm's New York office
and oversees staffing for the U.S. and employee relations. If you are interested
in interning or working for Burson-Marsteller and/or are interested in seeing
how a global firm operates, make sure to come by this Wednesday!
Those members interested in running for next year's executive board can
pick up an application in the public relations
office (Weimer 2083). Material is due in the public relations office by
Wednesday, April 9 at 5 p.m. Elections will take place the following week
on Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Graduating Seniors: Opportunities to Begin PRSA Membership
As college comes to a close and you embark into a professional
career, it is time to make the next step from PRSSA to PRSA. Become a PRSA
Associate Member and receive a great deal on membership costs, as the yearly
fee is only $60 compared to regular PRSA dues of $225. For more details

PRSSA Membership Certificates
For those members who attended the mandatory elections meeting Wednesday, April 18, your official PRSSA membership certificates are available to pick up in the PR Office (Weimer 2083). If you missed the elections meeting, but went to the final banquet, contact Rachel Rodriguez at smarty22@ufl.edu so that you can receive your membership certificate.
How to Stay In the Know about PRSSA
The UF PRSSA Chapter utilizes the weekly listserv, PRSSA and Alpha PRoductions Web sites, Facebook group (Public Relations Student Society of America in the UF network), college-wide e-mails, fliers around campus, executive board tabling for events and our own PRSSA board on the wall of the Weimer Courtyard to relay the most up-to-date information regarding events and opportunities. If you know a member who is not on the listerv, direct him or her to the Web site and click under Resources and Listserv for instructions on how to sign up through the automated computer system. As always, feel free to contact executive board members at any time with questions.

National PRSSA Scholarships and Awards
PRSSA has some great
scholarship and award opportunities approaching. At UF, each student can
apply for up to three awards/scholarships that need an advisor's signature
(not including Gold Key). To be chosen as an applicant for our chapter,
