Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club
of the university of florida
How to Join

< Club membership is required to attend most of the club sponsored events, as well as to vote on club-related issues such as constitution amendments and officer elections. Members also have the option of buying the club-sponsored t-shirt and of joining the club e-mail list-serve, through which the officers disseminate important, beneficial information in a timely manner. An attendance list is kept, and members are asked to "sign in" at the start of each meeting. Please note that attendance is not mandatory, however, it is necessary to regularly attend meetings & club-sponsored events to be considered an active member.

To become an official member, you must do the following:
  • Pay the club dues ($10 for the semester or $15 for the full year [both Fall & Spring semesters]) by the third meeting of the semester. Deadline for official membership for the Fall semester is TBA. Dues are to be paid to the treasurer in the form of either cash or a check made payable to the "University of Florida Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club" at one of the first three meetings. Therefore, in order to pay dues, you must:
  • Attend at least one of the early meetings. Meetings are usually held on certain Thursday evenings in the Equine Auditorium at the College of Veterinary Medicine on SW 16th Avenue (see the meetings page for more detailed information such as the meeting schedule and a map of the meeting location). (Please note that if you are located in on-campus resident facilities and do not have transportation, you may call SNAP at 392-SNAP to make an appointment for transportation to the veterinary school after 6:30pm.)
  • Note: Once a member, you may leave the club at any time should you wish to withdraw from the club. However, dues will not be refunded under any circumstances.
For information on how to remain an official member, please review the membership guidelines.
