Our "Baby Gator," William, posing for his school picture.
November, 1999.
[This picture is ancient. I really need to update all of this
sometime soon.]
I am in the master's degree program of the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Florida. I work the Latin American Collection of UF's Smathers Libraries and I have taught Beginning Portuguese I. I am beginning my studies at the School for Information Studies at Florida State University this fall. My wife Joelma, my son William and I live in Gainesville, Florida.
We moved here in 1998 from Salvador, Brazil, where I was a teacher at the Pan American School. I hope to soon defend my master's thesis on the topic of education policy in Brazil. I am a 1993 graduate of Clark University, originally from the Boston area. I am certified as a Spanish and social studies teacher, having earned my teaching credentials at Framingham State College.
