About the UF Peace Corps Exchange Program
Peace Corps Exchange is an exciting opportunity for UF’s International Students, Peace Corps Applicants, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers to share stories and experiences, forming valuable connections and lasting friendships. Peace Corps Exchange will assist international students with the adjustment to life in Gainesville as well as help Peace Corps Applicants prepare for their host country service by creating a comfortable setting where American and international students alike can learn about each others’ lives and cultures.
If you are interested, please contact Amy Panikowski at peacecorps@ufic.ufl.edu or Sam Kraegel at skraegel@ufl.edu

International Students
International Students! Do you want to learn about American customs and culture? Would you like to practice English with a native speaker? Have you ever met or worked with a Peace Corps Volunteer in your home country or do you know someone who has? Would you like the opportunity to make friends and form new and lasting connections during your time at University of Florida? If you answered yes to any (or all) of these questions, Peace Corps Exchange needs your help! We are looking for international students who want to share stories and information about their home countries with Peace Corps Applicants. In return, the Peace Corps Applicants will help you learn and adjust to life in America.
Peace Corps Applicants
After your interview and nomination, your recruiter will ask permission to send your contact information to the Coordinator of Peace Corps Exchange to match you as best possible with an international student from that region. Once your invitation is received, we will match you to an international student from your future country of service. If there isn’t a student attending UF from your future country of service, we will attempt to match you to someone close to the area in which you intend to serve in order to assist in understanding that area/country better.
