About UsNSSLHA is the National Student Speech, Language, & Hearing Association. Founded in 1972, it operates as an independent organization and is recognized by the discipline's professional association, the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), as the official organization for students interested in human communication sciences and disorders. NSSLHA is comprised of over 18,000 members in over 285 chapters in colleges and universities nationwide. NSSLHA also has member representation on the policymaking body of ASHA and on selected committees and boards of ASHA. There are many reasons why all speech pathology and audiology majors should join NSSLHA. Attending meetings and participating in NSSLHA functions helps students learn more about their majors and gives tips on applying to graduate schools. Career advice, professional options, and peer assistance with course scheduling are a few of the services NSSLHA provides for its members. NSSLHA meetings also provide opportunities to meet other students in the major and faculty members who work in the program. The University of Florida
chapter of NSSLHA calls Dauer Hall its home. Dauer Hall is where you
can find the offices and classrooms relating to PHHP. Join National NSSLHA! For
$60.00 you can get access to special online publications, journals,
discounts on ASHA/NSSLHA merchandise, priority and discounts if
attending convention, discount when joining ASHA. How to be a member: - Come to atleast two out of
