Get Up, Get Out, and Get Involved!

Fellow students, Gainesville community, and beyond:

The Gator Chapter of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) serves the communities surrounding the University of Florida. Our local chapter meetings are held in the Reitz Union on the University of Florida campus every other Wednesday at 6:15 PM at New Physics Building Room 1101. If you are not on our listserv and would like to be, please email our secretary to be added.

The organization is subdivided into several committees that meet the concerns of the Youth and College Unit of the NAACP. We consider an active member as one who participates in at least one committee. Although it is not a requirement to become a paid member in order to participate in the Gator Chapter of the NAACP, it is necessary for us to maintain a minimum number of paid members in our unit in order to remain active on the University of Florida campus.

Take the first step in getting involved by visiting the navigation bar to the left to learn about the organization, the committees, and our upcoming events.
