Vanessa Bravo is a journalist and editor with 14 years of experience. She worked for newspaper La Nacion -- the most important daily in Costa Rica -- as a junior journalist (1993-1997), as a senior journalist (1998-2001), as the online editor (2003-2005) and as the managing editor of the features daily magazine (2005-2007). Bravo still writes for La Nacion as a freelancer. Bravo worked for one year (1997-1998) as the Communications Director at Paniamor Foundation. She earned her Master of Arts in Mass Communications at the University of Florida, in Spring 2003, thanks to a Fulbright scholarship. Bravo earned her Licenciatura degree in Journalism and her bachelor degree in Mass Communications at the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR). In the Spring of 2005, Bravo was an assistant professor at UCR.

Brittany Davis is a reporter and editor who is pursuing her master's degree in International Communication at UF. She has worked with the Gainesville Sun, the Roanoke Times, the Independent Florida Alligator, and a European Union affairs newspaper located in Brussels, Belgium, called Europolitics. Davis' teaching experience includes volunteering at Kimuka Primary School in Kenya and working as a substitute teacher in Tampa. A former MMC2 100 student herself, Davis graduated from UF with a BS in Journalism.

Paige Madsen studied journalism with an outside concentration in mathematics and earned her BS in Journalism from the University of Florida in 2004. Her first publication was a story she wrote for MMC 2100 and was published in the Williston Pioneer Sun News. She has worked as a Technical Writer for A&N Corporation and for LifeSouth Community Blood Centers for six years. Madsen is working on her master's degree in journalism with an emphasis on technology.

Kara Carnley Murrhee moved to Gainesville in 2007 after earning her B.A. in Mass Communications (Ad/PR) from the University of Central Florida. She is currently working on her master's in Media Law in the College of Journalism and Communications while pursuing her J.D. in the Levin College of Law. This will be her second year teaching MMC 2100, and she has greatly enjoyed the teaching experience. Besides teaching in the journalism college, Murrhee works as an editorial assistant in the Levin College of Law Communications Office. Previous professional experience that Murrhee has had in the communications field includes working at MindComet Corp., an Internet marketing firm, interning for PUSH Inc., a full-service advertising agency, and working for UCF Sports Marketing- all based out of Orlando, Fla. She also served in various student organizations at UCF such as Student Government Association, National Panhellenic Council and Kappa Delta.
