Communication Technology and Development
My research examines the use of information and communications technologies
in political, economic, educational and cultural development. I seek to
make my contribution through teaching, training, research and consulting,
on the application of information and communications technologies to such
challenges.
Many believe that communication technologies will play an increasingly
important role in development efforts in the years to come and my work
is focused on their efficient use in the service of national and international
development objectives.
A major part of making progress in this endeavor is to critically examine
how the new telecommunication technologies are currently being applied,
both in highly industrialized and less industrialized countries, gleaning
the transferable lessons from both experiences.
I conduct my work in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. |
