The Universal Woman

To be universal is to have an effect on the entire world in a fashion where every living body is touched or transformed.
To be a woman, is to be prideful and strong, and use such characteristics to make a difference.
To become a Universal Woman, is to learn to encompass the beauty of being unrestricted in ability and character, standing our far beyond the crowed, and daring to lead the way for generation to come.

In the words of Maya Angeleu:
[A woman] “…must have convinced herself, or be in the unending process of convincing herself, that she, her values, and her choices are important. Women should be tough, tender, laugh as much as possible, and live long loves”.

Phenomenally, a Universal Woman represents all cultures, all styles, all walks of life and carries herself with a mark of excellence, setting herself on a level above what is ordinary and common place

There exists no labels that brand her appearance,
No stereotype that binds her character,
And no form of identification that makes her loess than unique.

The Universal Women lies within every Lady of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated.

Striving in UNITY, driven by LOVE, and recognized with RESPECT.

New Beginnings

Burgundy and gray,
Now fill my dreams.
As I start a new journey,
Into this amazing sisterhood.
A world of opportunity,
To venture into culture,
Learn how to love new family,
Be able to call so many places around the nation,
My home away from home.
I am a new lady,
And owe it to Lambda Theta Alpha.
With confidence and dedication,
I now know that I too can make a difference.
I want to give to the community,
In a new fashion,
And stress my academics,
As I go forth with this new journey.
I know I am not alone,
Because side by side,
My sisters and I,
Will strive to succeed,
In every way we possibly can.
Welcome to the sisterhood,
Is not merely a phrase,
It is a way of life.
In debt to our principles,
Unity, Love, and Respect,
I have learned how to thrive,
As a successful woman,
Working to make her name known.

10 Year Annivesary Poem
Burgundy waters touch a coast
Where a decade of history has grown
Beneath palmas, aside perlas
That represent our struggle and victory

We are ladies who have risen from our adversity
We are proud to call these symbols our history
Under the same night sky that one crescent luna
Guides our destinies to one common goal

We will become and ARE the Universal Woman.
