Byoung-Hwan Chu (Chemical Engineering) Dojun Kim(Chemical Engineering) Hyo Soo Kim (Mechanical Engineering) and Myeonghun Park (Physics), received 2009 Korean Graduate Student Research Awards from the University of Florida , Founded by Paul W. Chun, professor at Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 1995, the awards are given to graduate students who have excelled in his or her chosen field. The awards have been given to over 34 recipients since its inception. This is the only award that focuses specifically on the achievements of graduate students from Korea, and it has been made possible by the generous contributions of University of Florida alumni, matching funds from the New York times and the donations of some friends in Korea.
