Application for Membership
Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society, is dedicated to scholarship and excellence in education. The society, as a community of scholars, has adopted and continues to pledge fidelity to four cherished ideals: Humanity, Science, Service and Toil.
Membership in the Upsilon Chapter depends upon fulfillment of the following qualifications without regard to race, age, color, religion, gender, or handicapping condition.
Worthy educational ideals
Intent to continue in the field of education
Professionalism
Leadership

12 hours in the College of Education completed, in progress or planned to complete
Sophomore standing or higher
Active participation in Kappa Delta Pi is required for the acquisition of an honor cord at graduation time. Active participation is defined as:
All members must have a minimum of 10 points by the end of each semester. These points can be attained by attending meetings, socials and/or completing community service events (to be announced). Members will have the opportunity to earn over 20 points each semester.

The next
initiation ceremony is scheduled for Spring 2008. Attendance at
the
ceremony is
required by ALL new initiates. You
must
complete
all necessary forms to be initiated into Kappa Delta Pi. After
you are
notified of your membership status there is paperwork to complete for
Kappa
Delta Pi national headquarters. This will be available for you to
complete
at the initiation ceremony. Please feel free to invite guests to
help celebrate your achievement!
