Student Services is located in Weimer 1000. This is in the courtyard across from the auditorium. The staff in Student Services can help you choose a major, decide which classes to take, help you plan your schedule, and much, much more. If you prefer, you can call Karen Cody at 352-392-1124 or Sandra Storr at 352-392-6558, or click their names to send an email. They can help with just about anything, but Juniors and Seniors should contact their advisers.

WUFT-TV is one of the college's two television stations. WUFT runs a daily half hour newscast, a 6-minute update newscast during fall and spring semesters, live pledge drives, coaches shows, and other productions. WUFT can be watched on channel 5 or Cox channel 3. Positions are on a volunteer basis. If you want to get involved, contact Allyson Cooper, the WUFT crew chief. Note: WUFT is actively recruiting volunteers for the 2-hour homecoming parade coverage. Contact Andrew Vogeney if you would like to get involved.

WLUF-LP is the college's low-power educational TV station. It can be seen on channel 10 or Cox channel 6. WLUF is located on the first floor and often offers master control positions for student volunteers.

WRUF AM850 is the college's AM news radio station. Students are generally involved as part of Radio 1 and 2 classes, however volunteers are always welcome. This is a great place to start your college experience. Contact Tom Krynski for more information on how to get involved. If you are interested in sports, contact Sports Director Steve Russell.

WRUF-FM Rock 104 is a commercial rock station located within the college. The station is run mainly by students. For more information call 352-392-ROCK.

WUFT-FM is the college's public radio station. It is an NPR affilliate that broadcasts a variety of news, jazz, and classical music. Students can volunteer in the news department - contact Kevin Allen for more information. Positions may become available for evening jazz announcers. For more information contact Ben Wilson or Steve Seipp. WUFT-FM also hosts the Radio Reading Service. Volunteers at the RRS read books and newspapers for transmition to the blind. Volunteers are always appreciated; contact Jean DeFlumer at 352-392-5200 ext. 133.

The Independent Florida Alligator is a great place to start for students interested in print journalism or photography. For more information on getting involved call 352-376-4458 or visit them online.

The JCA Internship Blog is a great resource to hear about other students' experiences. Students post a reflection on their internships and may choose to leave contact information if you want to hear more about their experiences.

The Knight Division is responsible for coordinating the college's undergraduate scholarship and assistantship programs, career resource activities and minority recruitment and retention programs. For more information call 352-392-0289, or just stop by Weimer 1080. You can also email Charles Harris, the Director of the Knight Division.
