Class
Bulletin Board
The bulletin board provides three main functions to the user: the
ability to post, read and search for bulletin board messages. It
is an important information source because it provides messages
from the instructors, as well as the collective questions, answers
and comments of students in the current course session concerning
course-related material. It is richer than a regular newsgroup because
questions may be posted directly from the online notes regarding
specific page topics. As well, the bulletin board is designed in
a sophisticated manner that enables the user to easily extract articles
in a number of ways to cater to their current information requirements.
For additional information click on the "Bulletin Board"
icon located on the Course Homepage.
Chat
Rooms
The Chat tool allows you to have real-time conversations with users
of this or any other course. It can be used for online, interactive
sessions such as tutorials or discussions. To access chat rooms,

Homepage and then choose "Online Chat."
Course Roster

After the final day to drop classes has passed, you will be able
to access a list of your classmates and their WebCT E-mail addresses.
Just click on the "Student Center" icon located on the
course homepage and choose "Student List and Their Homepages."
Student Homepages
The Student Homepage gives you the tools you need to create a personalized
Homepage which typically contains information about yourself, the
projects you are working on, and links to your favorite web sites.
Students in this course will create homepages as one of the first
module activites. The pages can be accessed from the "Student
Center."
