Painting the 34th Street Wall - January 28-29, 2006
The event was a great success! Thanks to all who showed up to put their mark on the wall (and perhaps mark up their clothes a little, too). Our panel, that says "Stop Genocide." and has our web URL underneath it, is by FAR the most prominent segment of the whole wall. Check out the making of the wall and the final product below.
Friday night's pictures are up first, then the next day's final product.
To all who could not participate but wanted to: we want to keep this message on the wall as long as possible, so no worries, in the near future, this will happen again. We accept donations for paint.

- United Nations World Food Program: provides majority of the food to the Darfur population.
- Darfur Peace and Development: provides displaced people with education and other basic needs.
- Doctors Without Borders: provides very scarce medical attention to the people in the camps.
- UNICEF: establishes schools in the refugee camps to educate the children.
- Catholic Relief Services: provides essential needs and promotes education, social empowerment.
- Islamic Relief: runs the Kerinding II camp with over 6,000 displaced persons.
- American Jewish World Service
- The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) provides resources to identify humanitarians organizations and ways in which you may support their work.
