Welcome to the University of Florida History Graduate Society
The History Graduate Society is an organization composed of and run by graduate students within the UF History department.
Our mission is to promote the study of history at the graduate level and to assist current graduate students in the University of Florida Department of History pursue their research, education, and career goals. HGS works to fulfill this mission by promoting cooperation between faculty and students, by supporting professional development workshops, by funding research and travel, and by organizing social events throughout the year.
HGS has built this website to help current and prospective students navigate the department and the university. Here you will find a variety of resouces both inside and outside the department.
