It is with great excitement that we introduce ourselves as the University of Florida and Gainesville’s newest publication, The Anole. Unlike other publications, The Anole’s goal is to help spread a greater appreciation of multiculturalism throughout Gainesville while reaching out to all nationalities, across all borders.
The Anole is designed to provide you with coverage about minority organizations, foreign affairs and current news – in short, we’re a literal melting pot of everything you want to read about.
Publishing in English, Spanish and Portuguese, The Anole encourages you to develop your language skills beyond what you already know – just don’t be afraid to learn. Language is a bond that ties us all together; if all you can comprehend is “gato,” “queso” or “¿Dónde están mis pantalones?” then you’re already on your way to enriching your experience in a world being reshaped by globalization. Enjoy yourself as you flip through our pages – don’t be afraid to stray from the English articles and take a peek at the Spanish headlines. We want you to.
Most importantly, feel free to give us feedback. We want to hear from you! Send us your ideas, comments or even submissions to the.anole@yahoo.com.
Remember – without communication, we are nothing.
Sincerely,
The Anole staff
