- TAPAS NIGHT: Social night, TBA (After Spring Break) at Emiliano's, featuring free food and live jazz for all HCA members.
TABOO TOURNAMENT: Monday, March 24 - the College of Journalism and Communications' Taboo Tournament.
HSA SOCCER TOURNAMENT: Saturday, April 6.
Anyone interested in playing at the Taboo Tournament or the HSA Soccer Tournament feel free to e-mail Lindsay Smith at sunlitgardens@yahoo.com - the more the merrier! - Marina Marraco is busy working on developing a virtual edition of The Anole for the HCA Web site. Those interested in developing their multi-platform portfolios should e-mail Marina at mmarraco@ufl.edu.
- Maria Lobo has announced plans for the HCA members to volunteer to tutor kids at the local YMCA in English and Spanish. HCA needs a minimum of 12 members to participate. If interested, please e-mail Maria your name, contact info and what days are best for you to volunteer at mjloboc@ufl.edu
- We have some really exciting opportunities set up for us with PIMARO Corp., a leading Spanish importing company located in Miami. Some of you have already signed up for the committee - but if anyone else is interested you are MORE THAN WELCOME to join us !!
Starting next week we have concrete assignments for you to gain more professional experience and to add to your portfolio!
We will be handling media relations, website development, graphic design, advertising concepts and research for PIMARO.

Don't pass up this free internship!!! - In order to reward those students who work hard within our organization, we've devised a point system as an incentive for those who strive to become involved.
Attendance at general body meetings: 5 points per meeting
Attendance at social events: 10 points per social
Attendance at general body meetings where a speaker is present: 15 points per speaker
Attendance at community service events: 20 points per event
Becoming an active member of a committee: 10 points
Tabling as a non-executive member: 20 point

HCA Point system
To be considered an active member of HCA and in good standing with our organization, you must accrue at least 25 points by the end of the semester in any way you see fit. The member with the most points accrued by the end of the semester will be rewarded with the Most Outstanding Member of Spring 2008 award!
