Georgios Pyrgiotakis
I am a post doctoral assistant at the Particle Engineering Research Center (P.E.R.C.) since July 2006. My current research endeavour involves Raman spectroscopy for real time investigation of cells.
Although currently Raman spectroscopy of biological systems has monopolized my interest, my scientific horizons are expaneded to other scientific research topics that I have worked in the past. Such topics are:
- Photocatalysis
- Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (S.E.R.S.)
- Colloidal stability and surface chemistry
- Ceramic processing
One of my most ambitious goals is to foster collaborations with researchers around the globe in an interlocking research efforts to produce results in the most challenging scientific fields. To this direction my curent advisor, Dr. Brij Moudgil and the fellow post doctorate associates Vijay Krishna, Nate Stevens and Parvesh Sharma have merged together our efforts to hold a young research forum that will help the establishments of such colaborations.
