Homecoming:

Every year, the Gator Guard participates in the "largest student-run parade in the nation", the UF Homecoming Parade. The Gator Guard also participates in other UF homcoming traditions such as, participating in a color guard detail for UF's well renowned pep rally, "Gator Growl"; and participating in a color guard for the Homecoming football game.

(We also do color guards for all of the Home football games, for which the participating Gator Guard members recieve FREE FRONT ROW ENDZONE TICKETS, that are right next to the band!)

Mardi Gras:

Considered to be our PRIMARY event in our yearly schedule, The Gator Guard Drill Team travels to New Orleans, LA to participate in the Krewe of Thoth and King Rex parades during Mardi Gras.

The participation in these parades have been engrained in the history of the Gator Gurad for almost four decades.

After performing in these parades, The Gator Guard takes to the streets to see the sights and hear the sounds of Bourbon Street.
