Cinerama, The 9th Annual Florida Undergraduate Film Festival is calling for entries for the 2007 festival, which will take place in Gainesville, Florida in April. The festival is accepting any shorts, as well as feature length films of any type, on all formats. Florida Undergraduate Film is dedicated in its quest to enhance undergraduate film culture, not only in Gainesville, but throughout the state and nation. Florida Undergraduate Film welcomes films and videos both in and out of competition. The submission deadline is March 1.

OUR OBJECTIVE:
1. To encourage student film and video makers around the world.
2. To provide an opportunity for students to display their work in a statewide festival
3. To discover and give exposure to outstanding undergraduate film and video makers

FESTIVAL DATE
The Festival will take place in April of 2007. Exact date, time, and location to be announced.

PRIZES
"THE PEANUT BUTTER CUP" -- Grand Prize, awarded by Cinerama Judges Committee.
"AUDIENCE CHOICE" -- Based on audience vote.
"I LIKE YOUR SHORTS" -- Best short entry (less than 20min), awarded by Cinerama Judges Committee.
"DOCUMENTARY PRIZE" -- Awarded by Cinerama Judges Committee.

The Cinerama Judges Committee is comprised of FUF members who have either not participated in the making of any of the entries or whose entries are noneligible for award.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Submissions for the 2007 festival are now being accepted.

Entries will be due as follows

Non-UF entries - March 1, 2007.
UF students and Non-American entries - March 1, 2007.

FILM/VIDEO CATEGORY
All film and video genres on any subject matter are accepted: animation, drama, comedy, experimental, documentary, short subject (for example, music videos), other.

PREVIEW CASSETTE

DVD or VHS (1/2") cassette (NTSC only). REQUIRED for entries on formats other than VHS, DVD, or miniDV. Completed entry form must accompany all submissions.

SUBTITLES
All non-English features must have English subtitles. All non-English short films (under 20 minutes) should be subtitled or be accompanied by an English version of the script.

FINAL FORMAT
Black & White or Color, on any of the following formats: 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, VHS, S-VHS, MiniDV.

FOR RETURN OF FILMS/VIDEOS
$5 cheque or money order
made out to Florida Undergraduate Film (or include s.a.s.e.).

ENTRY FEE
The Festival has no entry fee for submissions received by the appropriate deadlines. No submissions will be accepted after the deadline.

MAILING REQUIREMENTS
Please ship videotapes wrapped in bubble wrap. Do not ship in fiber-bound envelopes--this causes damage to the tapes.
Please label your video entry with the submission's title and contact name.
