Fundraising

Florida Crew is governed jointly by the Division of Recreational Sports and Student Government. RecSports allocates its budget to accommodate over 30 sports clubs. Florida Crew is given a portion of this budget each year to cover basic membership costs. The team is responsible for all additional expenses including coaching salaries, travel, equipment, and other fees.

To cover these expenses, the team works diligently on a variety of events and fundraisers such as car washes, erg-a-thons, family weekend, and other campus events. If you would like to support Florida Crew and donate to our team, there are a variety of ways to do so.

Please make checks payable to the University of Florida, with Florida Crew in the memo line. You will get confirmation that your donation was received as well as any tax deductible information.

Equipment

Or you can make a tax deductible equipment donation. Items like boat engines, cleaning and maintenance supplies, and apparel are greatly appreciated. If you'd like to make a donation please contact any of our Executive Board members.

Finally, the most important way to support your Florida Crew is by coming to our races! Everyone is invited to root on the Gator crew team throughout the season. We have races in Melbourne, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Deland. Families are encouraged to bring water or healthy snacks to races, your kids will really appreciate it. Take a look at the schedule, and feel free to contact a board member for any race information.
