BuyMusic.com has "Music Downloads for the Rest of Us". Wow, anyone remember Apple's "The Computer for the Rest of Us"?
When I read this blog entry about BuyMusic.com, I had to check it out for myself. I first tried visiting the site using Galeon, but wasn't allowed in. So I spoofed my user agent, turned off JavaScript, and was able to visit the page. (Sidenote: In trying to visit BuyMusic.com, I found that Konqueror has a really nice browser identification preference pane where you can set the user agent for specific sites.) I was amused to see ads that looked strangely similar to Apple's iTunes Music Store ads (white background, strange person rocking out). I was even more amused to see howto videos at the bottom - the iTunes Music Store doesn't have howto videos because it doesn't need them. (Update: Okay, so turning off JavaScript is enough to get into BuyMusic.com. No user agent spoofing necessary.)

I know it was posted on Slashdot, but there is an interview with the Galeon developers. I've used Galeon since version 1.2.3, and am currently using version 1.2.5 from Debian testing at work and 1.2.11 in Gentoo at home. Tabbed browsing has always been done right in Galeon (minus a few quirks with forms). Mozilla Firebird, even with the Tabbrowser extensions, doesn't compare. ("It's hard to give a time estimation, but I expect a 2.0 release before the end of the summer." Yay!)
I almost got hit on my bike again, this time by an idiot pizza delivery guy (from Five Star, haha) who thought he could turn right on red. He apparently forgot that traffic from the opposite direction comes when his light is red. Next time some idiot driver decides to deny me right of way, I'm getting off my bike and throwing it on his car.
New background, new screenshot. I scaled it up from the original screenshot that was on Fark, so credit goes to whoever created it in the first place.
I also created some backgrounds of the Rez scene in Vanilla Sky. You'll understand if you've heard the song by Underworld.

The all-important virtual space settings of IntelliJ IDEA have given me the text editing functionality I desire. Most importantly, no more "I'm stuck on column 0" issue. Make sure to unset "Allow to place caret after end of line".
