AIM

AOL claims to have 84 million people registered for their instant message service. Of those 84 million, there can't be more than one or two million people who use "unauthorized" clients. And how much money are they losing from not being able to flash ads in our faces? Money-grubbing whores, they are.

AIM Ads

Please take a minute to patch your AIM client, to remove the ads: Mac | PC. (Sorry, I can't verify if these patches work.)

AIM Sucks

AOL sucks. They're blocking open-source AIM clients from using their Oscar protocol. I sign on today and get this message from them. Let's all use Jabber - I'm PotPieMan@jabber(.com|.org), as always.
