Does Delta Upsilon Haze?

No! Delta Upsilon is firm in their belief of having a non-hazing fraternity.  Delta Upsilon is also a non-secret society.  Every event, including Pledge Pinning ceremony and Initiation are open to the public.  Delta Upsilon does not tolerate hazing by any member and anyone who experiences hazing is encouraged to report it.

Will My Grades Suffer?

Academics are the most important aspect of college life.  They are the reason why we are all here in the first place and should come before all other things.  Delta Upsilon strives to help every Brother succeed in their academics.  Starting with your pledge semester and continuing until your graduation, you will be monitored by Delta Upsilons Scholarship Program to help you succeed academically.

Does Delta Upsilon Do Community Service?

The Greek Community is consistently the most giving group of all the student body.  Whether it be raising money for charity or donating blood, the Greeks always come through for the community.  Delta Upsilon is a proud member of this philanthropic group.  We participate in many Sorority Philanthropies to raise money for charity, as well as put on a philanthropy event of our own.  Delta Upsilon also has a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of America and sends Brothers on a weekly basis to help them out.  We are also consistently in the running for the Blood Cup, the award given to the Fraternity that donates the most blood during the Greek Blood Drive.  We won this award for the Fall '05 Semester.

What Kind of Leadership Opportunities Will I Have?

Many of today's CEOs and company presidents were in a Greek Fraternity or Sorority.  There is no denying the valuable leadership skills gained from being in a Fraternity.  Delta Upsilon has produced many of their own prominent leaders including President James Garfield.  By joining Delta Upsilon you will immediately be given the opportunity to develop your skills and become a leader of your peers.  This is one quality that will definitely help you have a successful future.

What If I Just Want to Party?

Delta Upsilon does have a number of social events and there is no denying that being in this Fraternity makes college life much more enjoyable.  However, if you are looking to only party, Delta Upsilon may not be right for you.  Our main goal is to build better men, not to party.  If you are not willing to put in the work to become the best man you could possibly be, you might want to look elsewhere.
