Career Highlights
- 1989-90: Was named to the first team All-ACC. Led Clemson to the
ACC championship. Became Clemson's all-time career scoring leader. Was
drafted with the 27th pick by the Los Angeles Lakers.
- 1990-91: In limited action, finished 3rd on the Lakers in blocks
(38). Scored 21 points in game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Bulls
and former Clemson teammate Horace Grant.
- 1991-92: Blocked 159 shots, the highest Laker total since Kareem's
162 in '84-'85. Averaged 7.1 ppg and 5.2 rpg off the bench.
- 1992-93: Finished 2nd on the team in blocks (100) and improved his
scoring to 7.7 ppg. Averaged 14.0 pts, 8.4 reb, and 2.4 blk per game in
the playoffs.
- 1993-94: Became a starter for the Lakers and set career highs in pts
(12.3 per game) and rebounds (6.8 per game). He finished 2nd on the
Lakers in rebounding and 11th in the league in blocks (1.92 per game).
- 1994-95: Campbell raised his scoring average to 12.5 ppg and once
again finished 11th in the NBA in blocks (1.81 per game). He set a
career high with 32 points against Portland on March 22 and had a career
best 15 boards against Phoenix on April 15. He averaged 15.7 ppg, 7.3
rpg, and 3.0 blks per game in the playoffs and helped lead the Lakers
back to the conference semis.
- 1995-96: Elden raised his level of play again, setting new career
highs in 7 offensive categories. He averaged 13.9 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 2.2
assists per game, and 1.07 steals per game. He was the only non-center
in the top 10 in the NBA in blocks, finishing 6th with 2.6 per game. He
also set career highs in FG pct (.503) and FT pct (.713).
