Our Mission

Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship exalts the name of Jesus Christ on over 200 college and university campuses in the United States. Chi Alpha encourages students to seek meaningful and fulfilling relationships with the living God through faith in His Son, Jesus.

Chi Alpha (or XA, Greek initials for christou apostoli: "Christ's ambassadors") takes its name from the Apostle Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 5:20: "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." Why do we need reconciliation to God? According to Romans 3:23, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Jesus declared that humans can be made righteous in God's sight only by placing their faith in Him: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). Jesus was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He died on the cross as a sacrifice, taking the punishment for our sins. Jesus triumphed over death three days later by rising from the dead. He is alive today in Heaven, and His free offer of eternal life still stands.

Chi Alpha offers weekly general meetings (prayer, worship, and a message from the Word), small-group Bible study/accountability groups, and regularly scheduled prayer meetings on the U.F. campus. We come together and ask God to pour out His Holy Spirit on our school and for Him to help us in our individual lives. For more information about small groups and prayer meetings, please send an e-mail by clicking the "Information Request" link on the homepage.

All are welcome to attend our meetings. We hope to see you there!
