The Brazilian Student Association at the University of Florida, Gainesville, was created officially on August 1, 1997. In this meeting, the Constitution was discussed and approved, and the first Officers elected. PLEASE CLICK THE FLAG FOR OUR CONSTITUTION Goals: The Association has the following objectives : Provide support for the Brazilian community at UF and information for prospective UF students. Help new students to adjust to UF's and Gainesville's environment. Be the contact between Brazilian UF alumni and UF community in order to maintain academic and social interaction. Establish a database of information about Brazilians and those interested in Brazilian affairs (UF / Gainesville). Represent Brazil and its culture, promoting an understanding and appreciation of Brazilian culture. Foster professional, academic, and cultural interactions among Brazilian and American institutions. Promote networking among people interested in Brazilian issues.
