Deseret Ranch is one of the largest ranches in the U.S. It comprises over 300,000 acres of Osceola, Orange, and Brevard counties. Owned by the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Deseret moved 16 million pounds (7300 t) of calves, in 2000, which at the time translated to about US$16 million in revenue. The ranch is home to 44,000 head of cattle, plus 80 ranchers and their families.
Adams Ranch focuses on producing cattle that thrive in our sub-tropical region of South Florida and Southern United States, while meeting U.S. meat standards. Since the 1990s, they have been developing composite breeds from a Braford base. Their land management and conservation practices have been nationally recognized as being beneficial to our native wildlife and plants. |
