Alpha PRoductions is the largest student-run public relations firm in Florida, and is sponsored by the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), UF Alpha Chapter. It strives to provide members with real-world public relations experience to supplement their education in the UF College of Journalism and Communications.
The mission of Alpha Productions is to serve our members by enhancing their knowledge of public relations and providing access to professional development opportunities, and to serve the public relations profession by helping develop highly qualified, well prepared professionals.

Our History
Alpha PRoductions began in Fall of 1981 arising out of a campaigns class. It began as a small group of students who wanted to gain hands-on public relations experience but eventually became a separate entity. During the 2005-06 school year, Alpha Productions was recognized as one of the first five student-run public relations firms to meet the Nationally Affiliated PRSSA Student-Run Firm Standards. Each year, Alpha PRoductions retains more than 40 associates and seven to 10 full-time clients.

How do students become members of Alpha PRoductions?
You are required to be a PRSSA member, have a 3.0 GPA and submit an application and resume. Applications are available online or in 2083 Weimer Hall. Alpha PRoductions will review your application and select you based on your GPA, commitment and experience.
How do organizations and businesses become involved with Alpha PRoductions?
Alpha PRoductions is always interested in working with organizations and businesses that need public relations assistance. Prospective clients should contact us to learn more.
How much time do students need to commit to Alpha PRoductions?
The internships are year long. Students are also required to commit a minimum of five hours a week to their account.
