Bulletin Board Information:
The bulletin board gives the user the ability to post, read and search for bulletin board messages. It is an important information source because it provides messages from the instructor, as well as the collective questions, answers and comments of students in the current course session concerning course-related material. It is richer than a regular newsgroup because questions may be posted directly from the on-line notes regarding specific page topics. The bulletin board is designed in a sophisticated manner that enables the user to easily extract articles in a number of ways and to cater to their current information requirements. For additional information, click on the bulletin board icon located on the course homepage.

Chat Room Information:
The Chat tool allows you to have real-time conversations with users of this or any other course. It can be used for online, interactive sessions such as tutorials or discussions. For additional information, click on the Communication Tools icon located on the course homepage. We will use the chat room to communicate as one class or as parts of the class, during the semester. There will be several opportunities to participate in chat sessions.

Course Roster with E-Mail Address:
After the final day to drop classes has passed, you will be able to access a list of your classmates and their E-mail addresses. Just click on the Student Profile icon located on the course homepage.

Student Homepages:
The WebCT Student Presentation Tool allows you, the student, to place material onto the WebCT server so that other students can access your material. Feel free to create a personalized homepage that contains information about yourself, the projects you are working on, and links to your favorite Web sites. You can find this tool under the Study Tools icon.

Course Content Resources:
Throughout the course you will be given links to related subject matter. These links are designed to provide data and/or additional perspectives on materials covered in the course. In some cases, the links may offer material not covered in class.
