Bulletin Board Information
The bulletin board provides two main functions to the user: the ability
to post, read and search for bulletin board messages. It is an important
information source because it provides messages from the instructor,
as well as the collective questions, answers and comments of students
in the current course session concerning course-related material. It
is richer than a regular newsgroup because questions may be posted directly
from the on-line notes regarding specific page topics. As well, the
bulletin board is designed in a sophisticated manner that enables the
user to easily extract articles in a number of ways, to cater to their
current information requirements. For additional information click on
the bulletin board icon located on the course homepage.
Chat
Room and Video Conferencing Information
The Chat tool allows you to have real-time conversations with users
of this or any other course. It can be used for online, interactive
sessions such as tutorials or discussions. For additional information,
click on the course tools and other useful links icon located on the
course homepage. The interactive video conferencing will take place
on selected evening during the term.
You will be required to attend one of the videoconferencing sites
located throughout the state to receive the transmission. Conversations
during the videoconferencing sessions will be similar to those held
in the chat rooms.
